We start with the site, your household and the reason a standard plan is not enough. Priorities, tensions and unknowns are surfaced before a layout is treated as the answer.
Design directions
Early planning studies test more than room sizes. They look at movement, zoning, orientation, privacy and the connection between inside and outside.
A resolved plan
A preferred direction is developed through feedback. The goal is not endless options—it is a plan where the important decisions support one coherent whole.
The next project stage
The design moves into the level of drawing agreed for your project. Consultant, approval and construction requirements vary, so deliverables are made explicit before this stage begins.
A residential project can require builders, engineers, energy assessors, surveyors and approval pathways depending on its scope and site.
The appropriate next steps and responsibilities should be identified for the specific project. We will not imply that an early design drawing replaces documentation, professional advice or approvals it does not cover.
